The New Romantics Bookstore

The New Romantics is a Romance-Only Bookstore in the heart of Orlando, founded by Jane Rodriguez, a lover of books and Taylor Swift. The store which is a perfect array of pink shades feels like a warm lovey hug with a friends to lovers vibe. From the moment you walk in you are absolutely engaged with books, bookish gifts and the most gorgeously decorated corners that are the perfect background to any photo op. Honestly, you can literally take a photo anywhere and it would be perfection.

The store features books from a diverse range of authors and romance genres. You can pick up the latest Ali Hazelwood, Alexis Daria or Liv Zander without fail. The best part is that you can always order any romance book through them, in the case that it is out of stock and they can even ship it straight to you. And, let’s not forget about all the pre-order campaigns they constantly run for new book releases and their bookbox subscription!

As an avid supporter of BIPOC, Queer and Women authors, it is extremely important to me to find bookstores that offer safe spaces for all. At the New Romantics, you will find that space. They uplift these voices and value “community, inclusion, connection, empathy, love, passion, respect, and gratitude” as per their page bio. They constantly feature authors, both indie and trad, who embody these qualities, through in-store signings, signing events and bookish activities.

There is nothing more incredible than finding bookstores that feel like a second home, the ones that keep you coming back over and over. This is something that Jane and her team at The New Romantics have created, the sense of a beautiful community who believes in love in all its forms and all its romance genres.
